Wychwold Urns are easy to personalise. All urns are untreated, thus none are varnished, oiled or painted. Available as a pictorial Urn with a frame and picture
(choose one of our pictures or use one of your own)or a motive/fretwork urn. The urns are suitable for scattering ashes or burial in environmentally friendly burial grounds or gardens. All urns come with an engraved plaque on the top or side of the urn and a seperate small memorial plaque with ground stake which can be placed anywhere to remember your loved one.

There are many different types of urns available all beautiful, all made for the purpose of storing or scattering ashes. Our range of urns are truly scattering urns. They have a slot control to enable ashes to be scattering in a dignified manner. Having ashes blown in the wind can be very disconcerting. Our scattering urns allow one to stop the flow of ashes at any time, thus more than one family member can partake of the scattering process and thus say goodbye to their loved one.

Our urns are made of hardboard, which is compressed recycled wood chips. Paying for a beautiful urn for your loved one is a nice gesture, but if you are going to scatter the ashes you will be left with an un usable urn. Our urns are multi purpose and can be turned into a bird house or small animal house once the ashes have been scattered or if the calico bag has been used for burial and not the whole urn. Being hardboard it degrades very quickly if buried and it would be left untreated for that purpose. Urns used for animal houses will require periodic varnishing or painting to remain in good order.
